Christian Education
The Catechesis of the Good Shepherd program ("Atrium") is strongly supported by Trinity, and is regarded as an important formational process for our young people, although it also speaks deeply to adults. Atrium is also an outreach to children from outside our parish community. Sessions are held during the week—after school for the older children, and in the morning for pre-school children. The Trinity program is exceptional in that the director is a catechist who promotes CGS nationally and is dedicated to its philosophy. For more information contact Lynda Catalano, Ldcat@sbcglobal.net. Christian Education for adults is primarily in the form of Bible studies, Lenten soup suppers with speakers, and shared summer reading with discussion. We also have two core groups which meet on a weekly basis and comprise 8-12 members each. These groups study the Bible, read and discuss books, and pray together. Members build strong bonds of community support for one another. Trinity Care provides pastoral care and practical help to those who request assistance and to others who come to our attention. A lay ministry is developing to visit the home bound. The Trinity prayer list is maintained by this group. Many church members have attended and are involved in the Cursillo movement. Fourth Day activities and Ultreyas ultimately refresh parish life. |
